# Asana

> Send Signals and Docs into Asana as tasks, and see where each task sits without leaving Lane.

For teams that deliver in Asana, Lane's integration takes a decision straight into the project where the work gets done. Send a [Signal](/signals) or a [Doc](/docs) to Asana as a task, with a link back to the customer evidence in Lane, and keep an eye on its progress from Lane.

## Connect

Go to **Settings → Integrations → Asana** and connect your Asana account. Available on **Pro**.

## Send to Asana

From a Signal or a Doc, choose **Send to → Asana**, pick the workspace and project, and choose **Create task**:

* **From a Signal**, the task carries the Signal's summary and a link back to the live Signal.
* **From a Doc**, the task carries the Doc's title and content.

Sending an Open Signal marks it **Accepted**.

## Follow progress

Once a task is created, its button in Lane shows which section of your Asana project the task is in, and updates as the task moves between sections. It's a quick read on where delivery stands.

Asana's progress doesn't change the Signal's status or drive [closing the loop](/close-the-feedback-loop). When the work ships, close the Signal in Lane and the loop closes from there. If you want status to flow back automatically, use [Linear](/linear) or [Notion](/notion).

**Q: What gets created in Asana?**\
A: A task in the project you choose, linked back to Lane.

**Q: Does the Signal update as the Asana task progresses?**\
A: Lane shows the task's current section, but the Signal's status doesn't change. Move it to Closed in Lane when the work ships.

**Q: Which plans include Asana?**\
A: Pro.
