# Mintlify

> Let Lane read your Mintlify docs to answer questions, and suggest docs updates as pull requests for your team to review.

Docs fall behind the product quietly: a feature ships, a setting moves, and the help page still describes last month. Connecting Mintlify lets Lane work with your docs in two steps:

* **Read your docs**, so Lane can tell you what they say: "is the new export documented?", "what do our docs say about SSO setup?"
* **Keep docs up to date**, so Lane can suggest edits as pull requests when the product changes. Your team reviews every change, and nothing is published until someone merges it.

## Connect your docs

Go to **Settings → Integrations** and open **Mintlify**.

1. Enter your **Docs address**, for example `docs.yourcompany.com`. Public docs only for now.
2. Choose **Connect**.

No sign-in is needed to read public docs. Nothing is copied into Lane: each search goes to your docs site.

## Let Lane suggest edits

Under **Keep docs up to date**, choose **Connect** and sign in to Mintlify with an account in the Mintlify organization that hosts these docs.

From then on, Lane can propose changes to existing pages. Each set of changes goes on a new branch and opens a **pull request** for your team to review. Lane never merges or publishes.

* **In chat**, Lane shows each change, what it replaces and what with, and asks for your approval before opening the pull request.
* **In [Automations](/automation)**, set Mintlify to **Read and write** and the automation opens pull requests without asking; each one is linked from the run. Pair it with a **Pull request merged** trigger from [GitHub](/github) and your docs can keep up with every release.

Changing the docs address to another site disconnects editing. **Delete** removes the Mintlify connection entirely.

## Who can use it

Mintlify is available on every plan. Any member except Contributors can connect it.
