# Security Overview

> How Lane protects your data - hosting, encryption, access, and the vendors we rely on.

Trust is the foundation of a product built around your customers' feedback. This section explains, in plain terms, where your data lives, how we protect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

## At a glance

* **EU data residency.** Your workspace data is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt).
* **Encrypted in transit and at rest.** All traffic uses TLS; sensitive credentials are additionally encrypted at the application layer.
* **Restricted production access.** Only a small number of authorized team members can access production systems, and only to operate and support the service.
* **No training on your data.** Your content is not used to train third-party AI models.
* **Data you control.** You can export or delete your data, and request a Data Processing Agreement at any time.
