Lane uses AI to turn raw customer feedback into something you can act on. This page explains how it works and how your data is treated.

Where AI is used

  • Ask Lane - answering questions across your workspace in plain language.
  • Feedback processing - turning raw feedback into structured signals.
  • Plan drafting - helping shape plans from the signals that matter.
  • Semantic search - finding related feedback, signals, and customers by meaning, not just keywords.

Providers

Both are listed on our Sub-processors page.

How your data is handled

  • Your data is not used to train models. We use these providers through their APIs, which do not use submitted content to train their models.
  • Purpose-limited. Data is sent to an AI provider only to process the specific request you or your workspace triggered - never for advertising or resale.
  • Human oversight. AI-generated signals and plans are suggestions. You review, edit, and decide what to act on.
  • Your controls. Automation and AI features are configurable in your workspace settings, so you decide how much Lane does on its own.

What data may be processed

To perform the tasks above, relevant workspace content - such as the text of feedback, signals, and plans - may be sent to the providers listed above. Lane does not send this data to any AI provider other than those disclosed here.
