Billing in Lane is seat-based and straightforward: you pay only for the number of active members in your workspace. All billing and subscription processes are securely managed through LemonSqueezy, our Merchant of Record.Lane offers a 14-day free trial with full access to all paid features. After the trial, you can choose to continue using the free plan, or upgrade to the Business plan to retain access to premium functionality.
Whenever you update (upgrade/downgrade) your plan or seat count, the changes apply immediately. Lane does not offer proration, so we do not issue credits or refunds for unused time. Billing resumes from the updated date onward.
Active members: Only active members occupy billable seats. Suspended/invited users are not billed.
Seat-based pricing: You can’t add more active members than purchased seats on a paid plan.
Super admin: Always active and counted toward your seat usage.
Billing frequency: You can choose between a monthly or annual plan based on your preference.

Downgrading refers to reducing your subscription value - either by decreasing the number of seats or moving from annual to monthly billing.What happens:

We do not offer refunds for mid-subscription cancellations. If you’re unsure about committing annually, start with a monthly plan. You can switch to yearly anytime to benefit from discounted pricing.
