Lane offers a 14-day free trial with full access to all paid features. After the trial, you can choose from the following plans:- Starter Plan: A free and generous plan to get started, supporting up to 3 members. Ideal for getting started with Lane, as it gives you most features for free - from capturing insights and prioritizing features to aligning goals and sharing roadmaps.
- Business Plan: A premium plan for teams looking to get the most out of Lane - enabling customer‑focused prioritization, initiative‑based planning, advanced roadmaps support for scaling your business.
How Billing Works
- Active members: Only active members occupy billable seats. Suspended/invited users are not billed.
- Seat-based pricing: You can’t add more active members than purchased seats on a paid plan.
- Super admin: Always active and counted toward your seat usage.
- Billing frequency: You can choose between a monthly or annual plan based on your preference.
Whenever you update (upgrade/downgrade) your plan or seat count, the changes apply immediately. Lane does not offer proration, so we do not issue credits or refunds for unused time. Billing resumes from the updated date onward.

Upgrading refers to increasing your subscription value - either by adding more seats or switching to a higher-commitment plan (like monthly to annual).What happens:
- New plan or seat count takes effect immediately
- You’re charged the new amount starting immediately
- Your team’s access is updated right away
- No credit for unused time on the previous plan
We do not offer refunds for mid-subscription cancellations. If you’re unsure about committing annually, start with a monthly plan. You can switch to yearly anytime to benefit from discounted pricing.
Manage Billing
To manage your billing:- Click your workspace name in the top-left corner.
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Update the number of seats
- Switch billing between monthly and annual
- Cancel your subscription
- Manage billing information such as invoices and payment methods
Cancelling Your Subscription
You can cancel anytime from the billing settings. What happens:- You’ll keep access until the end of your current billing period. After that, your workspace will automatically be downgraded to the Free plan. No data will be deleted, but Free plan restrictions will apply going forward.
- Your plan won’t renew after cancellation
- No partial refunds are issued

Q: What payment methods do you support?A: We accept major credit and debit cards via LemonSqueezy. Q: Can I change the number of seats mid-cycle?
A: Yes, you can update your seat count at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
If you increase seats, you’ll be billed the updated amount right away. If you reduce seats, your new seat count applies immediately, but no credits or refunds are issued for unused time. Q: What happens if I invite more members than my seat count allows?
A: Invited members beyond your available seats will be added as inactive by default. The number of active members in your workspace cannot exceed the number of purchased seats. To activate them, you’ll need to increase your seat count. Q: Can I get a refund after canceling?
A: No, we don’t offer partial refunds. You’ll retain access until your current billing period ends. For any questions or billing support, reach out to support.
