
Overview
The Lane + Zapier integration lets you automate repetitive tasks by connecting Lane with thousands of apps - like Asana, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Typeform, and more. You can:- Trigger actions in other tools when new records are created or updated in Lane.
- Send feedback or ideas into Lane automatically based on data from other apps.
Ideal for teams looking to streamline operations, reduce manual data entry, and keep Lane in sync with the rest of their stack.
Configuration and Setup
To connect Lane with Zapier:- Go to Settings → Integrations → Zapier in your Lane workspace.
- Click Connect with Zapier to open the Lane app in Zapier.
- Create a new Zap and choose Lane as the Trigger or Action app.
- Authenticate using your Lane API key.
Available Triggers
Trigger: Record Created or Updated
This trigger fires whenever a new record is created or updated in Lane. You can configure it to watch any of the following record types:- Objectives
- Ideas
- Feedback
- Features
- Send a Slack message when a new Feedback is created.
- Add a row to Google Sheets when a Feature is updated.
- Create a task in Asana when an Objective status changes.
Available Actions
Action: Create Idea
This action lets you create a new Insight (Idea or Feedback) record in Lane using data from another app. You can map fields such as:- Title
- Description
- Tags
- Product
- Assignee
- Create an Idea in Lane when a Typeform response is submitted.
- Forward feedback from HubSpot tickets into Lane automatically.
You can select whether the record should be created as an Idea or Feedback using the “Record Type” field in Zapier.
