Personal Notifications keep you on top of what’s yours: when someone pulls you into a conversation, or something you’re following changes. They’re per-user — your settings are yours alone, separate from the workspace-wide Team Alerts. Manage them in Settings → Notifications.

What you get notified about

Two kinds of events:
  • Mentions & replies — when someone @mentions you or replies to a thread you’re part of, so a comment aimed at you doesn’t sit unseen.
  • Subscribed record updates — when anything you’re subscribed to changes. You’re subscribed automatically to things you create — like a Plan you started — and you can follow others to track their progress.

How you get them

Each event type can reach you on either channel, independently:
  • In-app — the notification bell inside Lane.
  • Email — sent to your account email address.
Toggle each combination on or off — for example, email for mentions but in-app only for subscribed updates. Turn a row off entirely to stop those notifications on both channels.

FAQs

Q: How is this different from Team Alerts?
A: Personal Notifications are your own feed — mentions and subscribed updates. Team Alerts are a workspace-wide broadcast of Signals to a shared Slack channel or digest.
Q: What am I subscribed to?
A: Automatically to things you create, such as Plans you start. You can also subscribe to others to follow their updates.
Q: Where do email notifications go?
A: To your account email address.
