Lane’s Asana integration allows product teams to create Asana tasks directly from Features in Lane. If your team manages development and delivery in Asana, this integration helps you:
  • Move prioritized Features into execution with one click.
  • Maintain a clear link between product planning and delivery.
  • Reduce manual copy-paste between tools.
This integration is currently in beta and supports task creation only.

Configuration and Setup

To connect your Asana workspace:
  1. Click on your workspace name in the top-left.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations → Asana.
  3. Click Connect and authorize access to your Asana account.
Once connected, you can start creating tasks from Lane.

Using the Integration

Create an Asana Task from a Feature

  1. Open the Feature you want to ship.
  2. In the Feature detail view, select Asana.
  3. Choose:
    • The Workspace (populated automatically)
    • The Project
  4. Click Create Task.
Lane will:
  • Create a new task in Asana.
  • Add it to the first section of the selected project.
  • Link the task back to the Feature in Lane for traceability.
This ensures engineering or operations teams can immediately start execution in Asana while product teams continue managing prioritization in Lane.
