Lane’s HubSpot integration keeps your product team working from the same customer truth as your revenue team. It syncs companies and contacts from HubSpot into Lane as Customers — so feedback carries real account context like revenue, tier, and status — and it puts a Lane card inside HubSpot so your CS and sales teams can see and submit feedback without leaving the CRM. Available on Pro and Business.

Connect

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → HubSpot.
  2. Click Connect and authorize access to your HubSpot portal via OAuth.
Once connected, the page shows your HubSpot portal name and connection date. You can disconnect anytime from the same page.

What syncs

Lane imports your HubSpot companies and contacts as customer accounts and their contacts, tagging each with HubSpot as its source so CRM-originated records are easy to filter. Sync is one-way — from HubSpot into Lane; changes you make in Lane aren’t pushed back.
New customers enter Lane two ways: automatically, the moment they show up in feedback (a note or request that mentions them creates the record from HubSpot on the spot), or all at once if you click Import all contacts on the integration settings page. Routine syncing — on connect, on save, via webhook, or daily reconciliation — only refreshes customers Lane already has; it doesn’t pull in new ones.

Field mapping

Field mapping lives on its own page — Settings → Integrations → HubSpot → Edit field mapping. For each Lane field, pick the HubSpot property that feeds it. Lane ships sensible defaults you can adjust to match your CRM. Company fields: Contact fields:

Value mapping

Some fields need more than a property match — they need their values mapped. For status and tier, HubSpot’s picklist values (for example, a lifecycle stage) are mapped to your Lane status and tier options, so a HubSpot value lands as the right Lane value. Any HubSpot values you haven’t mapped yet are surfaced on the mapping page, so you can see exactly what still needs attention rather than having records sync with a blank field.

Keeping data in sync

Lane keeps existing customers current two ways — none of which bring in new ones:
  • Save & Refresh — the mapping page’s save button (relabeled from “Save & Sync”) re-enriches customers Lane already has as soon as you save.
  • Daily reconciliation — a once-a-day pass catches everything webhooks don’t. HubSpot doesn’t fire webhooks for custom or mapped properties like status and tier, so this daily pass is what keeps those current.
None of these create new customers. To bring your whole HubSpot address book into Lane, go to Settings → Integrations → HubSpot and click Import all contacts, below the sync status block. Confirm in the dialog — it imports every company and contact from HubSpot as customers and keeps them in sync going forward. You can trigger a refresh anytime with Sync now (shows Syncing… while it runs); the mapping page shows a matching Refreshing… state on Save while a refresh is in flight. During any sync, Lane matches an existing record by HubSpot record ID first, then falls back to domain (companies) or email (contacts), and links contacts to their companies using HubSpot’s associations. If a record is deleted in HubSpot, Lane keeps it but resets its source to manual.

Capture feedback

The integration also works the other way — inside HubSpot. The Lane app card appears on contact, company, and deal records and shows that customer’s feedback and requests already in Lane, alongside a panel to send new feedback to Lane without leaving HubSpot. It’s how your CS and sales teams contribute to product discovery from the tool they already live in. Feedback captured this way is also how new customers first arrive in Lane if you haven’t imported your HubSpot address book — see What syncs.

FAQs

Q: Which plans include HubSpot?
A: Pro and Business. Starter workspaces see an upgrade prompt.
Q: Does connecting HubSpot import my whole CRM?
A: No. New customers arrive automatically when they show up in feedback, or all at once if you click Import all contacts. Connecting, saving your mapping, and routine syncing only refresh customers Lane already has.
Q: Where do I set up field mapping?
A: On its own page — Settings → Integrations → HubSpot → Edit field mapping. Only mapped fields are synced.
Q: Is the sync real-time?
A: Standard property changes come through by webhook, but status/tier and other custom properties don’t send webhooks — a daily reconciliation keeps those current.
Q: Can I edit a HubSpot-synced field in Lane?
A: Fields mapped from HubSpot are locked so the CRM stays the source of truth. Unmapped fields remain editable.
Q: Can I connect more than one HubSpot portal?
A: No — one HubSpot portal per Lane workspace.
Q: What happens if I disconnect?
A: Previously synced records stay in Lane, but updates and future syncs stop until you reconnect.
