Notifications
Lane notifies you about activity that involves you — @mentions, replies in threads you’re part of, and status changes on records you’re subscribed to.Where notifications show up
Click the updates icon in the left sidebar to open your Updates panel — a scrollable list of your most recent in-app notifications. Unread items have a blue dot. Use Mark all read to clear the count. You’ll see three kinds of in-app notifications:- Mentions — someone @mentioned you in a comment.
- Replies — a reply in a thread you commented on.
- Status updates — a Feature or Insight you’re subscribed to changed status.
Configure what you receive
Each notification type can be delivered in two channels — In-app (bell icon) and Email — and toggled independently:- Click your workspace name in the top-left.
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Toggle any of the four switches:
| Toggle | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Mentions & replies (in-app) | Updates icon alerts when you’re @mentioned or replied to. |
| Subscribed record updates (in-app) | Updates icon alerts when subscribed records change status. |
| Mentions & replies (email) | Email when you’re @mentioned or replied to. |
| Subscribed record updates (email) | Email when subscribed records change status. |
Good to know

- No digests yet. Emails are sent in real time, one per event — there’s no daily or weekly roll-up.
- Plans are in-app only. Comments and mentions on Plans show up in the bell icon but don’t trigger email.
- Slack notifications aren’t supported yet — in-app and email only today.
