Strategic goals to align product work with business outcomes -tracked through Goals or OKRs.
Objectives in Lane represent your strategic goals and help align product work with business outcomes. There are two types of Objectives: Goals and OKRs, both structured to keep progress measurable and visible.
Objectives are account-level objects - all members currently have access to all Objectives in the workspace.
Goals are straightforward objectives where you directly link Opportunities. The progress of the Goal updates automatically as linked Opportunities are completed.
Q: What’s the difference between a Goal and an OKR in Lane?
A: A Goal is a single objective with directly linked Opportunities. An OKR contains Key Results, each of which can link to Opportunities and collectively determine progress.Q: Can I link the same Opportunity to multiple Objectives?
A: Yes, an Opportunity can be linked to multiple Objectives or Key Results. This helps when a single initiative contributes to multiple strategic goals. Progress is calculated individually within each Objective based on the linked Opportunities.Q: How is Health different from Status or Progress?
A: Health is a manual indicator of confidence (On Track, At Risk, Off Track). Status shows workflow state, and Progress is automatically calculated from linked Opportunities.Q: Are check-ins supported for Objectives?
A: Not yet — check-ins are planned for a future update.
